Drehkolben- oder Schraubengebläse? Und wo liegen überhaupt die Unterschiede? Diese Fragen klären wir in diesem Artikel. Bei all ihren Unterschieden haben beide Gebläsetypen eines gemeinsam: Sie sind beide für eine Reihe von [Niederdruckanwendungen](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/geblaese-niederdruck-kompressoren/)geeignet, zum Beispiel [pneumatische Förderung](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/geblaese-niederdruck-kompressoren/material-handling-schuettgut-druckluft) oder Belüftung. *Die Vor- und Nachteile beider Systeme haben wir auch in unserem Video-Kompaktkurs zusammengefasst.:* ## Betriebskosten Bei Betriebskosten trennen sich jedoch die Wege. Je relevanter diese für Ihren Betrieb sind, desto eher sollten Sie in ein [Schraubengebläse](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/geblaese-niederdruck-kompressoren/schraubengeblaese)investieren. Dieses ist ab 450 mbar(g) bis zu 35 % energieeffizienter als ein Drehkolbengebläse und ermöglicht so niedrigere Stromkosten. Hauptgrund für diese Effizienz ist vor allem die Innenverdichtung in der Kammer. Das Schraubenelement des Gebläses besteht aus zwei Schrauben, die ineinander verzahnt sind und sehr geringe Spaltmaße haben. Dadurch wird die Luft bereits beim Transport durch das Element von den verzahnten Schrauben verdichtet. Das spart Energie. Es sollte allerdings erwähnt werden, dass sich das vor allem ab etwa 450 mbar(g) bezahlt macht. Bis 400 mbar(g) nehmen sich die beiden Bauweisen nicht sonderlich viel. Beim [Drehkolbengebläse](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/geblaese-niederdruck-kompressoren/drehkolbengeblaese)bleibt das Luftvolumen während des Transports konstant. Erst beim Austritt wird die Luft durch den Systemdruck verdichtet. Daher lohnt sich ein [Drehkolbengebläse](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/geblaese-niederdruck-kompressoren/drehkolbengeblaese)eher bei niedrigeren Drücken. Bis 350 mbar(g) kann ein Drehkolbengebläse durchaus mithalten, bis 450 mbar(g) hat es noch einen durchschnittlichen Wirkungsgrad. Spätestens dann muss es aber dem [Schraubengebläse](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/geblaese-niederdruck-kompressoren/schraubengeblaese)mit seinem höheren Wirkungsgrad das Feld überlassen. Wenn dieser Faktor für Sie ausschlaggebend ist, sind Sie mit diesem Typ besser beraten.
