Die Hauptaufgaben eines Kompressorschmierstoffes: Verschleiß reduzieren, kühlen, abdichten und reinigen. Doch hier endet nicht die Spezifikation eines hochwertigen Premiumöls.** ## Der Viskositätsindex von Ölen Der Viskositätsindex ist besonders wichtig. Dieser beschreibt, wie stark die Temperatur bei 40°C und 100°C auf die kinematische Viskosität Einfluss nimmt. Wenn die Viskosität bei 100°C unter den kritischen Wert von 7,5 sinkt (bei vielen Schmierstoffen der Fall), ist eine ausreichende Schmierung und Schutz von Lager, Getrieben und allen rotierenden Teilen nicht mehr sichergestellt.  ![Kugellagerschaden](https://info.atlascopco-kompressoren.de/hs-fs/hubfs/Kugellagerschaden.png?width=516&name=Kugellagerschaden.png) ## Dies verkürzt aufgrund der unzureichenden Schmiereigenschaften bei den entscheidenden Betriebsbedingungen die Lebenszeit des Kompressors drastisch. ## Koksrückstände im Schmierstoff können Oxidation fördern ![Koksrückstände am Kompressorelement](https://info.atlascopco-kompressoren.de/hs-fs/hubfs/Koksr%C3%BCckst%C3%A4nde%20am%20Kompressorelement.png?width=322&name=Koksr%C3%BCckst%C3%A4nde%20am%20Kompressorelement.png) Auch der Anteil der Koksrückstände im Schmierstoff kann im Vergleich zu alternativen Schmierstoffen stark variieren. Jedoch haben unterschiedliche Maschinen auch unterschiedliche Anforderungen, EIN universelles und alternatives Öl kann nicht die höchste Leistung des spezifischen Kompressors erzielen.
