Mehr Innovation und Produktentwicklung hat bisher kaum ein anderer Kompressor-Hersteller geschaffen. Wir möchten über die Historie von Atlas Copco als Kompressor-Hersteller berichten sowie über die Ideen und Visionen, die wir seit mehreren Jahrzehnten verfolgen und umsetzen. Mit dem heutigen Blogpost nehmen wir Sie mit auf eine Reise, die im Jahr 1873 in Stockholm begann, 1952 in Deutschland ihren Weg fand und bis heute anhält. ## ![Atlas Copco-920-1929](https://info.atlascopco-kompressoren.de/hs-fs/hubfs/Atlas%20Copco-920-1929.jpeg?width=640&name=Atlas%20Copco-920-1929.jpeg) ## Kompressoren-Hersteller mit 150-jähriger Firmengeschichte Nachdem Atlas Copco, ehemals Atlas Copco Diesel, 1873 in Stockholm gegründet wurde – setzte Atlas Copco Deutschland am 21. März 1952 einen neuen Meilenstein in Essen-Kupferdreh. Was mit 4 Mitarbeitern, ein wenig Stahl und zwei kleinen Räumen begann, entwickelte sich zu einem Marktführer mit rund 1.950 Mitarbeiter:innen aus dreizehn Atlas Copco Gesellschaften in Deutschland. Doch zurück zum Anfang. Die vier Beschäftigten aus der Byfanger Straße in Essen-Kupferdreh hatten bereits zu Beginn ein großes Ziel. Der Gedanke „den deutschen Markt zu erobern“, trieb sie voller Ehrgeiz und Leidenschaft für Innovation und Technologie an.  Das heutige Atlas Copco konzentrierte sich zu Beginn auf den Bergbau im Ruhrgebiet. Einst vorgeschlagen von der Stadt Essen, verlegte Atlas Copco seinen Standort des Unternehmens innerhalb von Essen. Durch den neuen Standort trug der heutige Kompressor-Hersteller einen Teil zum Abbau der Zeche Ruhr bei. So entstand 1956 aus dem ehemals Atlas Copco Diesel das heutige Atlas Copco. Welche Meilensteine bewegend für den heutigen Kompressoren-Hersteller Atlas Copco waren, lesen Sie im nächsten Abschnitt. ## Welche Steps waren die wichtigsten in der Entwicklung des Kompressoren-Herstellers? | **1873** | **Gründung des Unternehmens in Stockholm ** | | --- | --- | |   | Atlas Copco genießt in Schweden eine sehr hohe Berkanntheit in der Bevölkerung zu vergleichen mit großen deutschen bekannten Firmen. | | **1956** | **Übernahme von ARPIC und Firmenumbennenung von Atlas Diesel zu Atlas Copco ** | | | Das Unternehmen ARPIC stellte mobile Kompressoren her, welche die Produktpalette sinnvoll ergänzten. Mit der Übernahme nannte sich [Atlas Diesel schließlich in Atlas Copco](https://www.atlascopco.com/history/en/evolution/building-the-company/atlascopco) um. Dabei leitet sich Copco von den französischen Wörtern Compagnie Pneumatique Commerciale ab. | | **1958** | **Erster ölfreier Kompresor ** | | **1994** | **Kompressor mit Drehzahlregelung** | | | Einer der entscheidenden Meilensteine war sicher die Entwicklung der [VSD Kompressoren](https://www.atlascopco.com/de-de/compressors/customerbenefit/vsd/vsd-explained) im Jahre 1994.
